Re: Recording I found yesterday

Thank you so much for sharing! I can't wait to hear these!

Dear Family,

Joshua was asking if I had any older recordings of when I was young.  I do have a few, and I won't send them all, but here are a couple favorites.  I'm uploading them at the family history library and putting them on a flash drive.  The quality is not amazing, but not too bad on several of these, surprisingly.

The first one here:  This is a recording of me playing the first movement of the Grieg Piano Concerto in a minor with the USU Symphony orchestra on tour.  We were recorded in the Ruth Barrus Concert Hall at what is now BYU Idaho (Rick's College at the time). I think I would have been 17 or 18 years old.  The conductor was Dr. Dean Madsen.

The second one is of a concert at BYU of post graduate school artists.  This would have been between having Christa and Aria.
I really love this Nocturne.  I think it gets overlooked.  It's Op. 9 No. 3 by Chopin, of course!

Enjoy these and I hope you don't mind if I send a few more as they are ready.  Also, ignore some random recording of some lady talking at the end of the pieces.  I must have had something on the tapes I didn't know about when I was putting them on my thumb drive.
